Once again we joined our friends, the Stepping Stones team with students for our annual social evening of ten-pin bowling followed by a Chinese buffet. Just before 6:00pm, we met in the Hollywood Bowl in Riverside, Norwich and were quickly formed into teams by David and Sue from Stepping Stones. Soon cries of "That's very good" and "Nice one" were heard, and that was just at the bar! Once established on lanes five, six, seven, eight, and nine, the game began in earnest but however hard we tried, sometimes the pins were not troubled too much, however a great time was had by all, lots of encouragement and some sympathy was given out - and needed.
All too soon the first part of out evening was complete and we retired to the Riverbank Chinese Buffet to replenish our bodies and souls, here again we were soon checked in by the staff and began the second half of our social evening. As usual the food and company were good and the competative spirit was left behind to enjoy the remainder of our evening in a relaxed atmosphere.

Thanks to Ed and his team from Stepping Stones for organising this event and to our members who supported it making it another great night.
SKEYTON GOAT, 20TH CLASSIC CAR AND BIKE SHOW - Sunday 19th May, by Freda and Colin.
Four motorbikes met at Britannia Cafe, Mousehold for breakfast, Tony and Penny, Colin, John and Freda and Roger. Tony led us to Skeyton Goat via Buxton Mill arriving at about 11.00 am. The pub and surrounding meadow were already buzzing, there seemed to be many more exhibits than previous years. The ladies, after a wander, found a convenient bank in the sun to sit and "people watch" while the men made their way around a fantastic array of cars and motorcycles.
Having spent a very pleasant three hours wandering around, sitting, chatting and queueing for ice cream!! we decided to call it a day. Leaving the Goat the first drops of rain hit our helmets. Hopefully, we all got home reasonably dry.
